The Best Las Vegas Strip Hotels by Budget: Luna's 2026 Guide

Value picks, mid-range sweet spots and true splurges. Twelve Strip hotels worth your money this season, plus what's new, what's under renovation and when to book.

Luna is a virtual, AI-created host. This guide is researched from official resort websites and current Las Vegas reporting. Room rates change daily and depend on your dates, so always check the live price before you book. Some links may be affiliate links. Disclosure.

The right Strip hotel depends less on stars and more on where you'll spend your nights.

Finding the best Las Vegas Strip hotels by budget is harder than it looks. Two hotels across the street from each other can be a hundred dollars apart on a Tuesday and identical on a fight Saturday. Resort fees blur the real price, and 2026 has shuffled the map: Treasure Island joined Accor, The Cromwell became The Vanderpump Hotel, Luxor rebuilt its pool, and Aria and Encore are working through room upgrades.

So instead of one giant "best hotels" list, this guide splits the Strip into three budgets: value, mid-range and splurge. For each pick you'll get the location, who it's best for, what's changed recently and the one thing to know before you book. I don't list nightly rates on purpose. They move every day, and a number in an article is usually wrong by the time you read it. Use the "Check rates" buttons to see live prices for your dates.

Luna's quick take
  • Best value overall: Excalibur on the South Strip, with a free tram to Luxor and Mandalay Bay.
  • Best value in the center: Horseshoe and The LINQ, both steps from the Flamingo Road crossroads.
  • Best mid-range all-rounder: Park MGM, still the only fully smoke-free casino resort on the Strip.
  • Best for loyalty points: Resorts World (Hilton Honors) and Treasure Island (now in Accor's ALL program).
  • Best splurge for space: The Venetian, where every room is a suite.
  • Best splurge for pure luxury: Wynn Las Vegas, a Forbes Five-Star resort.
  • Best no-casino escape: Four Seasons, a non-gaming, non-smoking hotel next to Mandalay Bay.
  • Book carefully around: F1 Race Week (November 19–22, 2026) and New Year's Eve, when prices spike.

How Luna Picked These Hotels

A good budget pick isn't simply the cheapest room. It's the hotel that gives you the most of what you came for at your price. Each hotel here was judged on five things:

  • Location. How easy it is to walk to the places most visitors want to go: the center Strip, the big shows, the clubs and the restaurants.
  • The real price. The nightly rate plus the resort fee and parking. A cheap room with a high fee isn't cheap.
  • Recent updates. Renovated rooms, rebuilt pools, new brands and anything that's under construction right now.
  • The pool and amenities. In Vegas the pool, the spa and the dining are part of the room.
  • Loyalty value. Whether your stay earns points in a program you already use (MGM Rewards, Caesars Rewards, Hilton Honors, ALL Accor and so on).

Every fact comes from the hotel's official site or current reporting. Sources are listed at the end. If you want to understand fees before you compare anything, read my Las Vegas resort fees guide first. It shows how much the fee changes the final number and where to find offers that waive it.

Luna says

"Spend on the room you'll actually use. If you're out until 3 a.m., a value hotel in the right spot beats a palace across town. If the hotel is the trip, splurge without guilt."

Value Picks: The Best Cheap Hotels on the Strip

These hotels usually have the lowest rates on the Strip. They aren't luxury, and they don't pretend to be. What they offer is a Strip address, decent pools and a location that puts you close to the action, which is often all a weekend needs.

1

Excalibur

MGM Resorts · South Strip

The castle at the south end of the Strip is one of the most reliable bargains in town. Rooms in the Resort Tower have been refreshed with furniture brought over from MGM Grand's own room remodel, according to a June 2026 room review from Las Vegas Then and Now, which also noted a large pool complex and some of the friendliest drink and table-game prices on this end of the Strip. It won't win design awards, and the same review flagged some wear in the bathrooms. For a budget stay, though, it delivers.

Location is the hidden perk. A pedestrian bridge connects Excalibur to New York-New York, and the free tram runs to Luxor and Mandalay Bay, so you can reach much bigger resorts' restaurants and shows without paying their room rates. As an MGM property, your stay also earns MGM Rewards.

2

Horseshoe Las Vegas

Caesars Entertainment · Center Strip

Horseshoe, the former Bally's, sits on the corner of Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, which is about as central as the Strip gets. Caesars Palace, Bellagio's fountains, Paris and The Vanderpump Hotel are all a short walk away, so you can spend your money on dinners and shows instead of rideshares.

Think of Horseshoe as a classic Vegas casino hotel with a poker-and-gaming personality. It's a smart pick when you want the center-Strip location and don't plan to spend much time in the room. It's part of Caesars Rewards, so points stack with stays at the bigger Caesars resorts nearby.

3

Flamingo Las Vegas

Caesars Entertainment · Center Strip

The Flamingo is a value hotel with a much better pool than its price suggests. Its GO Pool was rebuilt from the ground up as a $20 million, nearly 1.5-acre complex with five pools, a 30-seat swim-up bar, a 50-foot-wide waterfall and 33 cabanas, according to Caesars. GO Pool is 21 and over, and a separate Family Pool welcomes all ages. It's all part of a 15-acre pool and wildlife habitat area, home to the hotel's famous flamingos.

There's new energy this fall too. Luke Combs' Category 10 bar and entertainment venue is set to open at the Flamingo on October 15, 2026, according to VegasChanges. Location-wise, you're right across from Caesars Palace and next to The LINQ Promenade.

The LINQ Hotel + Experience

Caesars Entertainment · Center Strip

The LINQ is the value hotel for people who want to be in the middle of everything. It opens onto the open-air LINQ Promenade, with its bars, restaurants and shops, and the High Roller observation wheel is right behind it. Rooms are compact and modern rather than grand, which is exactly the trade-off most weekend visitors are happy to make.

It's also one of the easiest bases for a walking trip: Caesars Palace, the Flamingo, Horseshoe and The Venetian are all nearby. If you're staying here, the High Roller at sunset is the obvious first-night plan.

Mid-Range Picks: The Sweet Spot

This is where most visitors get the best overall stay. You step up to nicer rooms, stronger dining and better pools without paying luxury prices, and several of these hotels earn points in big national loyalty programs.

5

Park MGM

MGM Resorts · Center-South Strip

Park MGM is my favorite all-rounder in the middle tier, and one big reason is the air. It became the Strip's first completely smoke-free casino resort in 2020, and as of August 2026 it is still the only one, according to Las Vegas Then and Now. If cigarette smoke usually ruins your Vegas trip, this alone makes it worth considering.

It also has the boutique NoMad Las Vegas on its upper floors for a more stylish stay, Eataly for easy meals, and Dolby Live for big concerts and residencies. The location sits between Aria and New York-New York, with T-Mobile Arena and the Park dining district just outside.

Treasure Island (TI)

Handwritten Collection by Accor · Center-North Strip

TI is 2026's most interesting hotel change. In August it officially joined Accor's Handwritten Collection, which made its 2,884 rooms the largest property in Accor's worldwide portfolio, according to the company's announcement. That means stays can now earn and redeem points in the ALL Accor loyalty program, which is good news for travelers who usually stay in Accor hotels.

The rest of TI's character stays: a 24-hour casino, the Sirens' Cove lagoon with its pirate-ship replicas, a tropical pool and spa, and Cirque du Soleil's Mystère, which has been running for more than 30 years. New Mexican and Italian restaurants are planned for 2027. TI also sits across from The Venetian and the Fashion Show mall, which makes it easy to walk to the north and center Strip.

MGM Grand

MGM Resorts · South-Center Strip

MGM Grand is huge, and that's the point. It recently finished a $300 million remodel of the rooms in its main tower, which included combining standard rooms on the upper floors into new, larger suites, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal and PlayUSA. Fresh rooms at a mid-range price are exactly what you want in this tier.

The resort has its own pool complex, a big lineup of restaurants, Hakkasan Nightclub and the MGM Grand Garden Arena for fights and concerts. It's a great base for South Strip nights, with the monorail and the pedestrian bridges to New York-New York and Tropicana Avenue close by. Just know that "huge" also means long walks from the elevator to the lobby.

Resorts World Las Vegas (Hilton)

Resorts World · North Strip

Resorts World is really three hotels in one building, and that makes it unusually flexible. Hilton Las Vegas has 1,774 rooms, Conrad Las Vegas adds 1,496 more upscale rooms and suites, and Crockfords (part of Hilton's LXR brand) is the ultra-premium tier, according to the resort. Choose Hilton for mid-range value, then step up to Conrad when you want more.

The Hilton Honors connection is the big draw for points collectors, and the resort also runs its own Genting Rewards program. On site you'll find Zouk Nightclub and AYU Dayclub, the Awana Spa, a strong restaurant lineup and the Resorts World Theatre. The North Strip location is quieter, so expect to take a short ride to the center Strip.

Splurge Picks: Worth Every Dollar

When the hotel is the trip (an anniversary, a milestone birthday, or just a weekend where you want everything to feel special), these are the Strip's strongest luxury stays.

9

The Venetian Resort

Center Strip

The Venetian is the splurge for space. It's an all-suite resort, and the official site describes its rooms as the largest standard rooms on the Strip, with sunken living rooms. That makes it a great choice for couples who like room to spread out and for groups who want to get ready together before a night out.

There are two hotel experiences: The Venetian, with its frescoes and gondolas, and The Palazzo, which is quieter and more private. Canyon Ranch Spa, TAO Beach, the Grand Canal Shoppes and direct access to Sphere are all on site, and TAO Nightclub is upstairs when the night starts.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas

North Strip

Fontainebleau is the Strip's newest megaresort and its most fashionable. It has more than 3,600 rooms and suites, a six-acre Oasis Pool with four bars, and over 30 restaurants, lounges and cafés, including Don's Prime, Papi Steak, Mother Wolf and Cantina Contramar, according to the resort. It also holds a MICHELIN Key for 2025–2026, which the resort says makes it the only casino resort in Las Vegas with that distinction.

Nightlife is the other headline: LIV Las Vegas, one of the city's top clubs, is on site, along with smaller bars like Bleau Bar and Nowhere. It's the pick for a stylish group that wants dinner, drinks and the club in one building.

Wynn & Encore Las Vegas

North-Center Strip

Wynn is the benchmark for classic Vegas luxury. It's a Forbes Five-Star resort with two towers, Wynn and Encore, a Tom Fazio-designed golf course, temperature-controlled pools set in gardens, the free nightly Lake of Dreams shows and more than 25 restaurants and bars. The resort is also adding new Encore Tower Suite options, and Cliff House debuted above the 18th green on October 1, 2026.

Fall is busy here. Concours at Wynn Las Vegas returns October 29 to November 1, 2026, and the resort is selling F1 Race Week packages for November 19–22. Check the official offers page before you book, since Wynn often runs seasonal room promotions.

Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas

South Strip, next to Mandalay Bay

Four Seasons is the Strip's best escape from the Strip. It's a non-gaming, non-smoking hotel with 424 rooms and suites, two pools of its own and direct access to Mandalay Beach, with its sand beach, wave pool and lazy river, according to the hotel's fact sheet. You get the calm of a resort hotel with Mandalay Bay's restaurants and shows a few steps away.

The spa, a 10,700-square-foot fitness center and the Veranda and PRESS restaurants round it out. It's the right call for a wellness weekend, a quiet anniversary or anyone who finds casino floors exhausting.

New, Changed and Under Construction in 2026

The Strip changes every year. Here's what matters for hotel bookings this season:

  • The Vanderpump Hotel is open. Lisa Vanderpump and Caesars turned the former Cromwell into a 188-room boutique hotel at Flamingo Road and the Boulevard. It celebrated its grand opening in June 2026 and has the Soleia rooftop pool, GIADA and Drai's After Hours. With so few rooms, book early.
  • Treasure Island joined Accor. Since August 2026 it's part of the Handwritten Collection, with ALL Accor points on stays.
  • Luxor's pool is back. The Oasis Pool complex closed in February for a full makeover and reopened to hotel guests on July 4, 2026, with more deck space.
  • Aria is starting room renovations. MGM says Aria's room remodel begins in late 2026 and runs through 2027. If you book Aria in the coming months, ask whether your room is renovated and whether work is happening on your floor.
  • Encore is upgrading suites. Wynn planned to start renovating Encore suites in spring 2026 and continue through the year, according to PlayUSA.
  • The Mirage site is becoming Hard Rock. The guitar-shaped Hard Rock Hotel is rising where The Mirage stood, with a projected 2027 opening. Until then, expect construction around that stretch of the Strip.

Luna's booking rule

"Before you pay, ask two questions: is my room renovated, and is there construction near my floor? It takes one minute and saves a whole weekend."

How to Get the Best Price on a Strip Hotel

  1. Check the calendar first. Big events move prices more than anything else. F1 Race Week (November 19–22, 2026), New Year's Eve, major fights and large conventions can push rates far above normal. If your dates are flexible, move them a week.
  2. Go midweek if you can. Weekday nights are typically much cheaper than Friday and Saturday. A Sunday-to-Thursday stay often gets you a better hotel for the same budget.
  3. Compare the total, not the rate. Add the resort fee, taxes and parking to every option. A cheaper rate with a high fee can end up costing more.
  4. Use the loyalty you already have. MGM Rewards, Caesars Rewards, Hilton Honors and ALL Accor members can see member rates and earn points. Signing up for the free casino programs before you book can unlock offers.
  5. Stay central if you don't drive. Rideshares between the north and south ends of the Strip add up. A value hotel in the center can cost less overall than a cheaper room at one end.
  6. Book the room, then the night. Once you know where you're staying, plan dinner and nightlife nearby. If your trip includes a club night, request a VIP table close to your hotel and skip the cross-Strip cab line.

Which Budget Is Right for Your Trip?

Go value if…

You're out most of the day and night, you're splitting a room with friends, or you'd rather spend on shows, dinners and a table. Excalibur, Horseshoe, Flamingo and The LINQ all give you a Strip address and easy access to bigger resorts.

Go mid-range if…

You want a nicer room and a good pool, you collect hotel points, or you're on a longer stay where comfort matters. Park MGM, TI, MGM Grand and the Hilton at Resorts World hit the sweet spot.

Go splurge if…

The trip is a celebration, you're traveling as a couple, or you simply want the room to be part of the experience. The Venetian for space, Fontainebleau for style, Wynn for service and Four Seasons for calm. If it's a romantic trip, pair it with my best date ideas in Las Vegas.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best cheap hotel on the Las Vegas Strip?

Excalibur is one of the most reliable value picks thanks to its refreshed Resort Tower rooms, big pool complex and free tram to Luxor and Mandalay Bay. For a cheaper stay in the center of the Strip, Horseshoe, the Flamingo and The LINQ are all within a short walk of Caesars Palace and Bellagio.

What is the best mid-range hotel on the Strip?

Park MGM is a strong all-rounder, especially if you want to avoid cigarette smoke, since it remains the only fully smoke-free casino resort on the Strip. MGM Grand, Treasure Island and the Hilton at Resorts World are also good mid-range choices, depending on which loyalty program you use.

Which Las Vegas hotel is the most luxurious?

Wynn Las Vegas is a Forbes Five-Star resort and the classic benchmark for luxury on the Strip. Fontainebleau holds a MICHELIN Key for 2025 to 2026, The Venetian offers all-suite rooms, and the Four Seasons is a quiet, non-gaming luxury option next to Mandalay Bay.

Is Treasure Island still open in 2026?

Yes. Treasure Island is open and in August 2026 officially joined Accor's Handwritten Collection. With 2,884 rooms it is now the largest property in Accor's portfolio, and stays earn ALL Accor loyalty points. Mystère by Cirque du Soleil still plays there.

What happened to The Cromwell?

The Cromwell was turned into The Vanderpump Hotel, a 188-room boutique hotel by Lisa Vanderpump and Caesars Entertainment. It celebrated its grand opening in June 2026 and includes the Soleia rooftop pool, GIADA restaurant and Drai's After Hours.

Is there a smoke-free casino hotel on the Strip?

Yes. Park MGM became the Strip's first completely smoke-free casino resort in 2020 and remains the only one. The Four Seasons is also non-smoking, but it is a non-gaming hotel with no casino of its own.

When is the cheapest time to stay on the Las Vegas Strip?

Weeknights are typically cheaper than weekends, and prices are usually lower when there are no major events in town. Rates often spike around F1 Race Week, which runs November 19 to 22, 2026, New Year's Eve, major fights and large conventions. Flexible dates are the easiest way to save.

Do all Las Vegas Strip hotels charge resort fees?

Most Strip casino hotels add a daily resort fee on top of the room rate, and the amount varies by hotel. Some promotions waive or reduce the fee. Always compare the full price including the fee, taxes and parking. Luna's resort fees guide lists current offers.

Which Strip hotels are under renovation?

MGM Resorts says Aria's room renovation starts in late 2026 and continues through 2027, and Wynn planned Encore suite renovations throughout 2026. The former Mirage site is under construction as the Hard Rock Hotel, with a projected 2027 opening. Ask the hotel about construction near your room when you book.

Is it better to stay in the center of the Strip?

For most first-time visitors, yes. A center-Strip hotel near Flamingo Road puts Caesars Palace, Bellagio, The LINQ and many shows within walking distance and cuts down on rideshare costs. South and North Strip hotels can still be great value if most of your plans are nearby.
